TYPES OF DATA WE COLLECT:

Amaru Group collects information from our guests and visitors to our websites in order to be able to provide you with a utility of our sites that meets your needs. Information may be collected to: (i) complete reservations or requests for information, (ii) purchase products or services, (iii) register for membership programs, (iv) submit job applications, (v) respond to communications we send you (e.g., surveys, promotional offers or reservation confirmations), (vi) fulfill your personal preferences, (vii) complete requests for services or recommendations we offer you, (viii) work with third parties, including collecting public use information from social event websites, to help us better understand your interests and provide a more personalized service, (ix) use our applications on your electronic devices, or (x) facilitate the transmission of messages to a friend’s email, if you wish.
The type of personal information we collect may include your name, your personal and business address as well as e-mail addresses, telephone and fax numbers, credit card information, date of birth, gender, and information related to your lifestyle, such as room preferences, recreational activities, names and ages of children, and any other information necessary to fulfill special requests (e.g., certain health conditions requiring special room accommodations).
Amaru Group may also collect information that is not considered personally identifiable, such as your use of our websites, your communication preferences, travel habits, embedded data related to your accommodations, and responses to promotional offers and surveys.
Please note that to better protect your information, you should not include credit card-related information in your electronic communication unless we specifically request it to complete the processing of a reservation or transaction on our branded websites or at our customer service centers.

COLLECTION AND USE
Amaru Group is fully committed to providing you with information regarding the collection and use of the individuals who visit and use our websites, products and services. As a matter of practice, we do not request information unless it is necessary or we intend to use it. Some of the main reasons we collect information are as follows:
– to provide services such as processing a transaction (e.g., making a reservation, responding to a request for information)
– to send you marketing communications regarding products and services offered by Amaru Group, our strategic business partners and other trusted third parties.
– conduct market research through surveys that allow us to improve the satisfaction of your needs, improve the quality of our websites and your accommodation in our hotels, as well as other communication activities, advertising or promotional campaigns.
You may opt out of receiving commercial mailings and surveys from Amaru Group at any time by clicking on the link included in the communications or by contacting us directly if you do not wish to receive direct marketing or telemarketing mailings and surveys. You will always have the option not to send us your INFORMATION or to decide what type of communications you would like us to send you. However, doing so may affect certain operations. For example, not providing a name may prevent the processing of reservations.
PROCESSING AND DISCLOSURE
In most cases, the information you provide to us is incorporated into our local or international database. As a standard practice, Amaru Group does not sell, rent or give physical possession of its database to third parties outside the Hotel Mousai system. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Hotel Mousai may disclose your personal information to others in the following situations:
– When we have your consent.
– In situations where it is necessary to disclose your personal data in order to provide you with the products or services you want (e.g. a vacation package).
– When companies or service providers who perform business activities on behalf of Amaru Group (e.g. credit card processing, customer service, market research administration or database administration services) require this information.
– In the event Amaru Group merges with or is acquired by another company.
– To comply with legal or regulatory requirements and obligations under applicable law or as a result of a court order or subpoena.
– In cases of emergencies such as saving the life, preserving the health or property of a person.
In the event that Amaru Group shares the information in the terms indicated above, we will try to limit the scope of the data provided to what is necessary to carry out the specific function. Unless precluded by legal process, we will require third parties to protect your information and to comply with applicable personal data protection laws and regulations.

CONSENT
As part of our commitment to keep you informed, we may send you correspondence or e-mail messages, communicate by telephone or otherwise to notify you of new Amaru Group products and services, as well as upcoming Amaru Group special offers, events, enhancements or other pertinent information that may be of interest to you. You have the option to opt out of receiving all such communications from Amaru Group either by following the instructions included in our e-mail or other communications or by contacting Amaru Group directly.
Our intention is to keep all of our guests and visitors informed and to enable them to take advantage of the benefits offered by Amaru Group and its strategic business partners. However, if you reside outside the United States, certain data protection regulations may require us to obtain your prior consent to send you unsolicited information.
In some cases, your consent may be deemed implied by the nature of the service requested or the transaction entered into. By way of example, Amaru Group may collect and use information that you voluntarily provide to us, as well as behavioral data or information collected in the aggregate. You will also be deemed to have given us your consent to receive such communications as are necessary to complete transactions and provide you with requested services.
In certain cases, we will ask for your express consent when collecting information considered sensitive under certain information privacy laws (e.g., information revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions or health conditions).
You may object to Amaru Group disclosing your information to third parties, except when: (i) service providers are retained to provide services on behalf of Amaru Group; (ii) disclosure is required by law; (iii) disclosure is necessary for reasons of public, legal or national interest; (iv) disclosure is necessary to protect vital interests of the guest; (v) the information was collected from publicly available sources; (vi) the disclosure serves the retrospective processing of the information for statistical or historical purposes or to improve our guests’ experiences; or (vii) where a supervisory authority (such as a Privacy Ombudsman, Data Protection Authority or similar authority) permits such disclosure.

ACCESS TO PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
In order to ensure that your information is accurate and up to date, we encourage you to regularly review and update such information as appropriate (for example, in the event of a change of address or e-mail address or in the event that you wish to add other means of communication for us to contact you). In an effort to prevent unauthorized disclosure of your information, you may be asked to provide proof of your identity (or other verification material) along with the completed access request form.
Occasionally, information that you have requested to be removed may be retained in certain files for a period of time in order to resolve any dispute appropriately or to troubleshoot a problem. Also, certain information may be retained indefinitely in ‘back-up’ copies or log files due to technical constraints, financial or legal requirements. Amaru Group recognizes the importance of information security and is constantly reviewing and improving technical, physical and logical security standards and procedures. All Amaru Group owned websites and servers implement security measures that help protect your information from accident, loss, misuse, illegal or unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration while under our control. Although there is no such thing as ‘guaranteed security’ on or off the Internet, we protect your information using appropriate technical, administrative and procedural security measures, including password controls, firewalls (and the use of up to 256-bit encryption based on the Class 3 Digital Certificate issued by Verisign, Inc. This allows us to use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), an encryption method used to help protect your data from any attempts at interception and hacking while in transit).

Amaru Group and its business partners may use cookies, web beacons and web beacons to collect information about you while you visit our websites. We assume no responsibility for the practices, policies and security measures implemented by third parties on their websites. We encourage you to contact them and ask about their privacy practices, policies and security measures before disclosing any INFORMATION. MINORS
Amaru Group does not seek to obtain nor does it wish to receive INFORMATION directly from minors. However, we cannot always determine the age of individuals accessing and using our Web sites. In the event that a minor (defined according to the criteria set forth in applicable law) provides us with his or her information without parental or guardian consent, we ask the parent or guardian to contact us and request that we delete this information and unsubscribe the minor from future Amaru Group marketing communications.
